ARCGICE is an acronym for "Combination of Spaceborne, Airborne and In-Situ Gravity Measurements in Support of Arctic Sea-Ice Mapping".
The ARCGICE project investigates to what degree improved gravimetric geoids, MSS determination from altimetry and mean dynamic topography and tides from models will allow an improved determination of sea-ice free-board. We will try to give quantified freeboard error estimates in the spectral domain and as a function of spatial scales, considering the impact of both present (CHAMP and GRACE) and future satellite missions.
