The first 3D cameras operating at teraherz frequencies are to be developed by a consortium including DTU space. The applications range from detection of material defects and chemical substances to ³all-weather² vision in dust storms on Mars. ESA has assigned the consortium to develop two cameras in the 100-2500 GHz range, each equipped with multiple transmitting and receiving antennas and an advanced digital signal processing capability for the image formation.
