I have a Master degree in Electronics in Space from Umeå University of Technology where I studied in Kiruna with close relation to Esrange. My thesis was to ensure the future of the SPI Integral satellite simulator that is located in Toulouse.

Throughout my education, I participated in project courses where various experiments were mounted on stratospheric balloons (Esrange) where I mainly programmed micro controllers. I have experience in both analog and digital electronics. In some of the project courses, I acted as a project manager.

I am involved in an ESA project called ASIM, where I develop and design a Data Processing Unit using an FPGA with embedded PowerPC as a core. The DPU work include interface to various memories (volatile and non-volatile), standard communication, ADC - DAC, custom made interface, VHDL programming, data handling, drivers etc.

During my education on the holidays, I worked at Esrange PR&Info and helped out during preparation of stratospheric balloon launches (both practical and scientific). I did my bachelor thesis at Esrange investigating the possibility for them using liquid/hybrid propellant.
