This satellite has been dubbed Astrid-2.
The Space Instrumentation Group, was selected to develop a miniature Star Imager to deliver high accuracy attitude measurements for this fast spinning platform.
The Astrid-2 was succesfully launched from Plesetsk in Russia December 10. 1998, and all instruments were succesfully comissioned during January 1999. |
