Current main research activities: Study of high energy emission from accreting compact objects in low-mass X-ray binaries. Observational and theoretical investigations of thermonuclear X-ray bursts from neutron stars.

Team member of the JEM-X instrument onboard the ESA satellite INTEGRAL.
Member of the NuSTAR Science Team (X-ray binaries).
Member of the NICER Science Team.
Danish representative for the EU COST action PHAROS and former deputy representative for NewCOMPSTAR.

Lecturer for diverse courses. Main responsible of the DTU courses "Astrofysik" (30120 - BSc.), "Observational X-ray Astrophysics" (30790 - MSc.), and "Hands-on X-ray astronomy data analysis" (30930 - PhD).
