Crustal magnetometry and technology

The CMagTRes group was established in 2016 by Dr Arne Døssing Andreasen with the purpose of developing, testing and applying new technologies for drone-based magnetic mapping of the Earth's crust, archaeology, subsurface ferrous pollution, and minerals.

The CMagTRes group has received several grants and has advanced from early prototype systems to fully functional drone-based systems in 2019. We have recently successfully completed our first mapping campaigns in DK, northern Sweden and Iceland and have upcoming campaigns in France and northern Greenland. The aim is to become the leading group in Europe within UAV-based geophysics, combining novel technologic development, data acquisition, and advanced data processing and interpretation methods.
