The field of applied electromagnetics lies at the boundary between natural science and engineering, and our efforts to this end are both fundamental and applied in nature. We work with advanced analytical, numerical, and experimental methods for studies of a wide range of wave-matter interaction phenomena from radio frequencies to optics. Our focus is on A) functional material platforms including metamaterials and metasurfaces, passive and active micro- and nanoparticles, material modeling and homogenization, novel EM phenomena and on B) computational EM including analytical and numerical methods for analysis of metasurfaces, irregular antenna arrays and efficient characterization of direct and inverse scattering. These efforts enjoy solid support by our activities within Radar Cross Section and scattering measurements in DTU ETC Scattering Test Facility.
