Antennas and Near-Field Antenna Measurements

Our research efforts in this area are divided into two main directions:  A) antennas and B) near-field antenna measurements. On the antenna side, our work encompasses analysis and design of a range of antenna configurations such as e.g. electrically small antennas, nano-antennas, simple water-based antennas, and satellite antennas, to mention a few. On the antenna measurement side, our research is focused on planar and high-accuracy spherical near-field antenna measurements, with special emphasis on phase-less near-field measurements, fast near-field measurements, and uncertainty estimation. This research is highly integrated with the DTU-ESA Spherical Near-Field Antenna Test Facility, where we provide calibration and measurement services for ESA and its contractors, and with a range of new antenna test facilities within the recently established DTU ETC.
